HIVE - Empowering Entrepreneurs and Founders
Being my own boss has been one of the most exciting adventures of my life. I'm glad that I started hating the conventional salary work and it looked like a modern day slavery for me. Choosing to set up my enterprise after graduation was one of nth hardest decisions I had to take and it got worse that my family were not supportive with the idea, espcially when I had to reject a $100 job offer at that time.
My love for technical writing and statistics ensued during my Third year in school and since then, I saw myself developing the skill, giving it a priority over other academic engagements I had to do. The skill became a game changer in my final year when I undertook my research all on my own without an academic supervisor's guidance and came out with a first grade. Then , I knew, I had built a skill that was tangible. That's how I started technical research consultancy and boom, it became a work.
The years ran through and by January 2018, I was told about Hive (then Steemit) and how it would help me maximize my writing skills. The first Three months was not fun at all as it was the first time I would use a social platform that had such technicalities. Yet I scaled through. FIve months into the blogging game, my writing skills had evolved and I began to learn a bit about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
My engagement on Hive never had a face like a business until August 2019 when the second layer was created and I began to earn multiple tokens form my posts despite the sinking price of the token then. I got interested in SPORTS and started loading tokens to my first million, 10 million, and it kept growing. My curation earnings grew and I ploughed back everything.
Fast forward to March 2020, I had grown my SPORTS stake to over 20 million and started accumulating other tokens like LEO, MARLIANS, DBLOG, etc. Forking into Hive with the tribes metamorphosing opened my eyes to the gem in LEO and I sticked around and then, I started a full fledged second layer curation business. Boom! my holdings doubled, tripled and in no time, I hot my first $1,000 worth of staked tokens with an initial investment of less than $200.
My first monthly $400 earning was during the Lockdown
Year 2020 was really a turning point for my writing career as all other sources of income was halted during the covid lockdown era but my Hive earnings kept coming and it built to the highs of over $400. That was strategic state that informed my decision to give my full time writing and sharing thoughts here on Hive while also learning from other great authors and earning curation rewards.
This came not with dedication and the discipline of building a healthy web of engagement with other authors across the different tribes and communities. The curation portfolio and content interests kept growing to this big coverage below. I can say. I'm a successful curapreneur with hive-engine tokens.
The plans on the long term are huge and it gets better by the day. There are plans to fund my upcoming projects with Hive. It'll cover education and gaming and promises to help onboard the young masses to this blockchain. Hive is really empowering entrepreneurs and a vivid example. The development of many projects thriving on this chain has been funded with Hive and it's amazing how that works. Our skills are well paid for and our dreams are funded.

I am a called teacher, a serial entrepreneur and a Graduate of Agricultural Engineering. Nigeria is my root and a place full of opportunities.
