¡saludos comunidad Hive!

¡Greetings Hive community!

Today I want to tell you what we have been living both at home and other people that I will talk about. Total insecurity around every corner

Everything starts from the beginning of the year, the neighborhood was relatively "quiet", compared to other neighborhoods in Venezuela, until a gang of criminals from a foreign neighborhood decided to invade in order to expand and have control over the entire area, which is very big. By already mentioning that they wanted to invade, things are going badly, but I have to limit and make it clear that they were not just any criminals, they are part of one of the great gangs that are here in Venezuela, and with that we are worse.

the police forces intervened, as well as small bands defending their territory, who since then have been fighting with weapons of almost all kinds in the neighborhood. Of course that has brought many tragedies, many deaths, insecurities (more than we already had) traumas and others ...

This mountain is part of the neighborhood, but it is the most important since at the top there are several surveillance points for criminals and from which they shoot at various points in the neighborhood since they have very good visibility of it, or at least the sites more strategic for them, right in front of that mountain our urbanization begins. Several of our neighbors have already reported stray bullets hitting buildings and even breaking some windows. For my part, I live in a more remote place, although from my window you can clearly see this mountain and it is still risky.

The last time there was a confrontation (I would say the most intense) was 4 days ago when I was at home and it was 10 a.m. The first shots began, they were few but constant, and then after the hour war began where multiple shots could be heard all at the same time for approximately 2 hours, they stopped and then returned. All the shots were between territorial and non-territorial, until at one point two explosions sounded (not at the same time) and even more shots, which was the moment when the police forces arrived, I was in the news that they had arrived at the place and the explosions were from donations of grenades by criminals, from that moment there came a time when the shooting stopped for about 1 hour.

It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the shots continued but not so constant, and it so happened that the criminals were at the top of said mountain, at that time policemen were still entering the neighborhood to control the situation. I managed to see a couple of policemen entering the neighborhood and firing at them from the top of that mountain; fortunately they did not manage to hurt them)

Almost 5 in the afternoon and shots were still heard, not as many as those at noon, but constant, our neighbors and the entire community were worried, if they needed to enter their houses or leave, and if they did they would have to pass through the crossfire.

That is the entrance of the urbanization, if you noticed both photographs are taken from different angles, it means that we are right in front of the scenes, only that some are facing them or further away and others are not. From this high point closest to the top of that mountain, exactly from the yellow guardhouses in the image.

esas / those one

The police officers were allegedly opening fire on the criminals.

After 6pm, some calm began until the shooting stopped, and since then only occasional shots have been heard.

quien a hierro mata no puede morir a zombrerasos

who kills with iron, with iron dies

A very common saying, perhaps you have heard it differently, was the saying my mother told me for as long as I can remember. When that event happened, that was what was going through my mind, in addition to the anguish of other people who suffered some type of collateral damage such as those injured or those who lost their lives due to stray bullets. It was very tragic for us to know that innocents were going to pay for something that they did not do to each other, a 21-year-old girl who was struck right at the entrance to the neighborhood, also a 65-year-old woman flawed on one side of the body, found a day later in her apartment since she lived alone, also a 16-year-old who was exercising on the other side of the events was hit in the head and taken immediately to the emergency room, they operated on him and seemed to be doing all right until today, unfortunately he died later of 4 days of induced coma after the operation. That young man knew him, he studied at the same school as me, and we certainly watched each other grow. He hurt me a lot since I received the news despite not knowing him well. Certainly NOBODY deserves to pay for someone else's fault, what happened to the victims and especially to the boy left my head full of thoughts that will take a long time to erase. Worse than death in this case, is seeing others or a loved one suffer, and not being able to do anything about it.

I went to the house of one of my neighbors, what she told me from her experience that day was very difficult to process. She says that that day she came from work, from a hospital since she is a nurse, she came in her car without knowing what was happening and arriving at the eye of the hurricane she noticed all the subjects between approximately 14 to 17 years armed, luckily that On the day she had not changed her nurse outfit, which the subjects noticed while saying: "Let her pass, she is a doctor" to all the others who were in front of her. Of course she scared tries to follow her path, anyway she was already there. Later on, the police detained her and returned her healthy to the entrance of the neighborhood and escorted her down another road.
I mention on one occasion that one of the police patrols along with officers were right next to the armed criminals and did NOTHING while higher up in the neighborhood they opened fire left and right, certainly something very disconcerting.

Until today there have been no more confrontations but at the moment the situation is still very tense and it is not known when all this could happen. In my opinion, the negligence of the authorities makes them work for convenience, making the innocent pay as always, something totally unfair.

I thank you for taking the time to read this story that affected many of us both psychologically and physically.

Without anything else to add, I say goodbye, see you in another post, take good care of yourselves. See you soon.
