This small and striking flower is known in my country as salta perico, but its scientific name is Ruellia tuberosa. Although it is considered a weed, it has very bright and beautiful flowers in a light violet-blue shade.

The plant itself is quite small, not exceeding 30 cm in height, but the most interesting aspect is its fruit. It transitions from green to brown and takes the shape of a small capsule where many tiny seeds are stored.
