History Recap : Events Happens on 26 March.
Hey, Everyone I hope you are fine and doing great. We all know History plays a very crucial role in our lives by providing us with a better understanding of the world we live in today.
To Recall History and to get better understanding of it, I'm going to write about it on the daily basis. The Purpose of starting this is to let everyone know and learn about history.
This post includes 5 Historical events that happens on 26 Of march.
Norman Invasion of Ireland
One of the important historical event that happens on 26 martch was the Norman invasion of Ireland. On 26 March,1169, Richard de Clare also known as StrongBow enters the Ireland with his forces and started invading Ireland. It was the start of the begining of foreign rule in Irelan which leads to long running resistance and conflits.
Publication of The Book of Mormon
On 26 march, 1830, Book Of Mormon was first published for the first of time, this book was famous for the central text of the Letter Day Saint Movement.
The Book of Mormon is believed by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be a record of ancient American civilizations and their interactions with God.
Polio Vaccine
Dr. Jonas Salk, who was very famous Doctor in the 19th century. on 26 march 1953, he announced that he had successfully test the vaccine for the polio Decease. At that time the Polio had caused thousands of people to get paralyzed. Pilio was spreading in kids on the rapid pase.
The polio vaccine was a major breakthrough in medical science and led to the eradication of the disease in many parts of the world.
Signing of the Camp David Accords
Egypt and Isreal was two rival countries and on March 26,1979, they both end up this rivery and sign a peace treaty which is also known as Camp David Accords. This peace treaty ends the conflict and hostility that run for many years between these country.
The peace treaty was the first between Israel and an Arab country and paved the way for further peace agreements in the region.
Melissa virus
Last but not the least, On 26 March, 1999, a Virus known as Melissa Virus Got spread in the computers all around the world. It was the first Mass-mailing computer virus. It causes huge damage to hundreds of thousand of compters Worldwide and as a result Millions of dollars was lost.
The Melissa virus was a wake-up call for the computer industry, highlighting the need for better security measures and antivirus software.
