PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography -

For this week's Contest, I have a spider from the Salticidae Family or the jumping spider. It is the female Plexippus paykulli which is native to South East Asia. And according to Wikipedia they are named after Swedish entomologists.

I found this little guy in my kitchen, jumping around the counter. I was about to cook an instant noodle when I found him. And yes of course I put down my craving for noddle for a moment, and then I took my camera and starts taking photos of this little guy.

Beautiful shots, Eka. But I wouldn't want any of that in my kitchen 😂 I'm curious, what did you do after taking its photos?

I just leave him alone. I only kill some of them in my workplace, because it can get me in trouble if the guest finds out. ahahah
if it is in my house, I just leave them, they are such an amazing predator. : )

The photos are beautiful, especially the first one which is impressive, the isolated focus on the eyes is beautiful, a great shot. This spider is scary, even with the eyes behind it, I get the chills, I've always had a bit of a phobia of spiders after a poisonous one stung me and I was very ill, but I like to observe and photograph them even if I'm afraid of them .

I am so sorry to hear your bad experience with the poisonous spider, lucky I think there is no poisonous spider here. But yeah some spider can really pack some serious punch and it also could make you really ill.

nice that you still keep your composer to observe and take photos of them.

Thank you friend, yes I continue to photograph spiders, because even if they scare me they are exceptional creatures and I like nature.

Even in Europe or precisely in Italy there are very few poisonous spiders, there are only 3 that can make you sick, but none fatal, I was lucky enough that one stung me in the ear at night, a pity that I didn't wake up though like Spiderman, but only with his face swollen like a balloon :D !PGM
