If you’re reading this, congratulations! You’ve successfully concluded Level 2022 of Dystopia, the survival strategy game without any clear controls and zero feedback to the player. Where you should only follow the game’s rules and instructions as long as it takes you to find a way around it.

1. Level Up To 2023
In the final TDV newsletter of the year, I share my educated guesses for the year to come. And my reasons for it. (Spoiler Alert - it’s not a pretty picture)
Level 2023 is set in a world where governments and privateers uniformly loath individualism, privacy and independence. These controllers and elitists have three goals: Obstruct autonomy. Blow up self-sovereignty. And destroy the free market. Maybe hack some humans while they’re at it.
In this TDV newsletter edition Ed’s Christmas Epiphany focuses on the real problem,
“It is not who controls the state. It’s how much power the people allow the state to have. It’s that simple.”
The game cannot continue without consent; unfortunately, this is a multiplayer game. It’s only once you’ve made the meaning of freedom clear to yourself, that you can tell when and if someone or something is violating your freedom and decide if you want to take action to protect it. And if that’s your choice, make sure you have all the resources you need to survive… and conquer.
2. Exit the Game Now
By this, I don’t mean you should knock on the Kanadian Abbatoir’s door.

An agenda that has always been that of global subjugation and conquest.
Going to another country will not remove a person from larger anti-freedom forces, such as the war-on-cash, or the global push to make personal and professional transactions transparent and available for officials to see via bank accounts and other digital facilities. One will have to address these forces no matter where they may be.
Having said all this though, the good news is that there are much freer places and ways to live. So get where you want to be and who you want to be with if 2023 turns out the way I think it could…
