My Latest DIY Projects! | An entry to Asean Hive Challenge
Hello, friends especially in this community @asean.hive
I really love to make DIY projects, so i usually spend my sunday to make the projects. Sometimes i even make them during weekdays, in the evening after i got back from work. So last night when i saw then read the article in our community
I really got excited. I mean i never posted any of my DIY things through this community.. so through this article which is also my entry to the ASEAN Hive Challenge "My DIY Projects" i tried my best to make a compilation of my latest DIY finished projects that became my favorite. and through this article i am going to tell you one by one about them, i also would like to share the summary about how i made them one by one...
The first one was i made just few days ago. This was a cute rainbow layers 3D birthday cake, a gift box that i specially made for my mother's birthday on September 2nd.
To make this cute birthday cake gift box all we needed to have were drawing paper, some color papers and also crepe paper. I also used the plastic straws to make the fake candles on the top. Here were some of the making process...
to make the round shape actually i used the compass there.
Next, one of the recent project i made was this super cute bunny zippered pouch. To make it was quite easy but i got a bit difficulties in making the cover fabric. There to complete the pouch i also made a tassel for it. I was so glad that the result was more than i had had expected. I tried my best to handsew it neatly. Fiuh!
Oh yes recently i also made a cute cat shape mini pillow for my newly born kitten. The steps how i made it, were simple. I just cut cut cut the felt fabric then i did the hand embroidery for its' closed eyes, adding the parts of the face with the hand sewing, put some filling inside then voila i got this little cute pillow.
How do you think of it?
Ta da, as the result of our visit to the animal and plants exhibition, recently i made a turtle plushie.
I tried to combine my two skills in this project, my hand sewing and my hand embroidery skill. I am sure you know what stitches i used for this project!
And as a companion for me in doing my DIY projects i made a cross stitched back pillow. It is not a big one but it could hold my back perfectly when i did the DIY projects at home. All i needed to do for this project were cross stitched - sewing around - turned it up - filling - closed it with the ladder stitches.
I bet you must know who are my favorite characters in this pillow!
My other hobbies are sing and listen to music soooo i really need my headset, i love the ones with the wires so to make it easier to save my headset i made this cute bear as a holder. To make it was easy and fun, you only needed to cut, hand embroidery then sew them together. Look how useful it is now!
From my childhood time i love ragdoll and it never changed. So recently i made myself a mini doll from fabrics, took the shape of a bunny, i also completed it in denim dress and a bow too. It was one of the most difficult project i ever made!
As a reminder to my passed away cat, i made this brooch (before i made a mini doll of my another passed away cat). How to make the brooch was simple. Almost all stitches in this project were whipped stitches. Look how i made it here!
Besides making crafts with paper and also felt i also do crocheting. Like recently i made a mini net bag... which i also complete with a flower hand embroidery pouch and also an amirugumi flower as a bag charm. I made them then join them together as a perfect match.
It took too much time to make the net bag because it was my very first crochet bag project and for the whole project i only needed the chain stitches and slipped stitches. For this project i used the t-shirt yarn. Look how i made it finally below!
As i told you i had made a flower amirugumi below, i made the yellow center part in round shape, sewing the face, joined them together.. then i did the crocheting around for the petals with blue.
The pouch for my net bag is this pretty flower embroidery draw string pouch which was one of my simplest project (i have skill in it because it wasn't my very first drawstring pouch project.
As a foodie, n my project sometimes i also made food like this mini pizza card. I used color papers for this project. Cut then pasted them together!
Beside a foodie, i also love animals. They inspired me to make some felt animals. Like the one i made this koala mini pocket pal. For the project beside koala i also made the leaf pocket. Here were some of the making process...
I also made a snail with the combination of felt and cotton fabric..
A cute mini rabbit with only felt fabric, for the legs and hands i didn't put any filling stuff in it.
Mouse and cheese would be too cute if you see it in my project. To make it was a bit hard cause i needed to make the 3/4 of the round cheese too. But it was really worth to make cause it could hold my pins cutely!
As i told you i have another embroidery pouch, this time a cute bee and it's hive. It was simple but cute and neat.
I also made some other animals projects like this cute bird hanging. So pretty and cute. It would be so proper to hang in the nursery room.
And i made this cute llama felt applique zippered pouch to put my crochet hooks. To make it i needed to cut out the felt then adding the appliques one by one then added the zipper and sew around. A cute llama pouch is ready to use..
As i crafters of course i still have many more DIY projects that i finished or even not finished that i couldn't share to you all here because they were too many. So it is finished for now, thanks for having me, if you enjoy my article please upvote, reblog and follow me for more CRAFT things..
And to @asean.hive thank you for the opportunity to enter the ASEAN Hive challenge my DIY Projects
The photos were taken with samsung A52 5G and i used INCOLLEGE apps for the cover photo.

Wow! You have many talents, but I particularly like your needlework. My daughters have lots of leftover felt fabric from a handpuppet project, and some of your ideas in this post would be good projects for them, especially the turtle, so cute.
Thanks a lot @justinparke. I am glad you like it and i am sure your daughter could make her own version of the turtle too. And if you like my needlework you could follow me because every week i post at least one of my project, mostly needlework.
Wow! you have a lot of DIY's project and they are all good. Keep it up @devyleona
Thank you :) @jenthoughts
